Innovation is a new way of doing something.  Everywhere we turn we hear about the recession but more importantly we feel it.  As a result, to spur economic development we must take an innovative approach.  It is no longer about recruiting a company on the basis of demographics.  Now-a-days companies take into account what kind of quality of life will their employees have?  What kind of quality of life will they as executives have?  What is the political climate like?

Ultimately, the greatest strides in innovation will come from you and not the leaders of our city.  With this firm understanding, I would like to launch a new campaign to tap the citizens brain power to identify opportunities for the City of Anniston to save money.  Money which can be reinvested into infrastructure, education, first-responders and additional opportunities.
